Bike tour in Valpolicella with visit of an olive oil mill and one Amarone cellar.
Initially, we will visit a local oil mill to explore the olive groves and the production areas. Through an informative video, you will see all the steps of extra virgin olive oil extraction. Afterward, you will enjoy a tasting of different olive oils, olive pâté, and other local products served with fresh bread.
After another pleasant ride through country roads, we will reach a family-run cellar. A member of the family will guide us through the vineyards and the drying room (fruttaio) where the grapes wither. We will also visit the barrel rooms where the Amarone matures. The tasting includes 4 local wines: a refreshing local white, Valpolicella Ripasso, Amarone and the sweet Recioto wine, paired with cold cuts, cheeses and oil bruschetta.
The route is about 20 km long and entirely flat. For your safety, we ride almost exclusively on cycle paths and quiet country roads.
