A bike tour in the eastern part of Valpolicella with visit and tasting in two wineries (one biodynamic) and light lunch.
In this tour for bike and wine lovers, we will leave from the centre of Verona, where bikes, helmets and padlocks will be provided, to the Valpantena, a valley of Valpolicella famous for the production of oil and wine.
Here is located the first family-run winery that we will visit. A member of the family will guide us through the vineyard, the drying room for the grapes and the wine ageing barrel room. We will taste 4 wines: a white wine produced with the local Garganega grape, Ripasso, Amarone and the sweet Recioto, accompanied by a cutting board of cheese and salami and extravergine olive oil of own production.
Through paths surrounded by nature and along streams of spring waters, we will arrive in a suggestive 1500’s Estate, where a certified biodynamic wine cellar has its headquarters. We will walk through their property vineyards and will be introduced not only to the world of wine production but also to the principles of biodynamic cultivation and philosophy. At the end of the visit we will offer wine tasting and a light lunch (to be agreed).
The tour is available only in the morning and the return to the city is scheduled in the early afternoon.
The route is about 25 KM long, flat and almost entirely on cycle paths and country roads.
